Have you
ever been to summer camp? Did you enjoy it? Did you play
lots of games, volleyball and football? Did you take part in camp competitions with
night contests and sing during a campfire? Or were you just bored? Well, this is your
big chance to come have a wonderful time with us at our camp! Why don’t you
give it a try?
Our camp is great! During the morning we spend lots of time either in the sports fields, near the water or in the forest. Someone might prefer
swimming, another playing football. Have you ever played
petanque or cricket? Be sure that during all these activities only spoken English is used! After dinner there is a rest period and after that the main focus of the whole day - the
summer camp play! Every day one part of it is performed. It is
very exciting - one day you will be fighting against each other, another day searching for stuff in the forest and another time you will be the main character in a theatrical play. We are always in one of the English speaking countries. After visiting England, Australia, Hollywood, Scotland, New York and last year, the British Asian Empire, we are going to the very
heart of good old England, to one of the oldest cities in the world – London. We will travel
back and forward through London on typical red double decker buses, black taxis and the famous London Underground. There really is so much for us to discover. Budding historians will meet the Tudor King Henry VIII, his six wives, Queen Elizabeth I and her favourite playwright
William Shakespeare who will definitely hire us for his plays in the Globe theatre. Those of you brave enough can meet Sherlock Holmes, Jack the Ripper or Sweeney Todd in
the London Dungeons. Do you think he will sing for us!? Admirers of art will be astonished by the uniqueness of both the
historical and modern architecture of London. We will discover everything from world famous paintings, displayed in countless museums and galleries to the street where we will find
graffiti and street art projects. Together with Harry Potter we will buy everything we desire on Diagon Alley and then Hooray! We will go to
platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross railway station. Do you know why we’re going to the British museum, which is one of the biggest in the world? Well, because of the
mystery of the Egyptian mummies. You still haven’t decided? It’s 2012, the
Olympic flame is moving to London – welcome to the 30th Summer Olympic Games! Let’s try to win as many medals as possible for our teams, we can expect a lot of different games and sports events. That’s not all by far...

If you expect groups of people sleeping in tents and washing in the river, forget it! We’ve got a
beautiful place between the river and the forest. We stay in
wooden cottages and in the washrooms there is hot water running in showers. Better yet, you’ll be with
really fine people!
Don’t think we’re just any old camp, because we are
a bit special and different, if that’s what you’re looking for. There are two leaders for each team -
one is Czech and the other is American, English or Australian. Really! It’s not unusual that you will be on a team with a girl or boy from
America or Austria, but
don’t worry. You’ll be able to make friends, because you will be using English. If you don’t understand, there will always be someone to help you translate, either your new Czech friend or one of the leaders. We
all help each other.
EUROCAMP is spectacular!
If you still don’t believe it, come and see with your own
eyes. And the night contest - you shouldn’t miss it! But don´t
worry - if you are really scared, we don't force anyone to attend.
Come and experience ten days with us in London, in the center of this ‘happening’ capital city where you can feel the history in the air as it runs hand in hand with the modern age! We look forward to meeting new
friends and seeing the old ones as well. |
